Returns & Refund Policy

The returns and refunds policy applies to both Rooted Chapters Poetry for the Soul™ and Rooted Chapters Café™.

At Rooted Chapters™, every order is created with intention—whether it’s a coffee mug, a journal for your thoughts, a bag of freshly roasted beans, or a digital piece of poetry. Because each product is made to order or digitally delivered, our return and refund process is designed to be fair, transparent, and rooted in care.


1. Physical Product Returns

All of our physical items—including journals, mugs, apparel, and coffee—are made to order. This means each piece is created specifically for you once your order is placed.

Because of this, we do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons such as:

  • Change of mind
  • Wrong size or color preference
  • Ordering the wrong item

However, if your order arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, we’ll make it right.

To request a replacement or store credit, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at info@rootedchapterscafe.com with:

  • Your order number
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Photos of the product and packaging

Once verified, we’ll send a replacement or issue store credit at no additional cost to you.

Please note:

  • Unauthorized returns sent directly to our fulfillment facility cannot be accepted.
  • Shipping fees are nonrefundable unless the product was defective or incorrectly fulfilled.

2. Coffee Returns

Our coffee is roasted fresh to order, which means it cannot be returned or exchanged once shipped.

If your coffee arrives damaged or you receive the wrong roast or grind, please email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos, and we’ll gladly send a replacement.


3. Digital Product Refunds

All digital items—including e‑books, poetry downloads, and soundtracks—are final sale.
Because digital files cannot be returned, we do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind
  • Accidental purchase
  • Downloading the wrong file

If your file is corrupted, inaccessible, or you were charged in error, contact us at info@rootedchapterscafe.com, and we’ll resend the correct file or issue store credit.


4. Refunds (Approved Cases Only)

Refunds are only issued for:

  • Defective, damaged, or misprinted physical items
  • Duplicate charges or technical errors for digital products

Once your refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method.
Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.

If your refund hasn’t appeared after that time, contact your bank first—then reach out to us, and we’ll help you check on it.


5. Lost or Stolen Packages

If your order is marked as “delivered” by the carrier but you haven’t received it, please contact your local postal service or delivery carrier directly.

While we’ll do our best to help you locate your package, Rooted Chapters™ cannot issue refunds or replacements for items confirmed as delivered.
